A la Barre is teaching at Waka Fitness now every week!
Barre classes are rising in popularity across the US faster than any other workout. Teri, a certified teacher from Washington DC, is introducing this method of exercise to Kigali through her ‘A la Barre’ classes. Barre is a combination of aerobics, Pilates, and Yoga in a more intense workout with a harder burn. Using small movements continuously throughout class strengthens your core, and keeps your spine in its healthiest position. As you push your muscles through repetitions and holds, you create longer leaner muscles. Barre will also tap into smaller unused muscles that compliment your overall strength. Teri’s personal attention to students in class allows each person to build on their practice, no matter what level-beginner to pro. With continual practice, your spinal health, flexibility, and strength will all improve through regular barre classes.
