At AWM, we believe all key-decision making leadership structures should be women and youth inclusive to cater for the diverse talents and interests of our society. We refer to such structures in business, government, corporate as well as the arts as key in achieving the ideals of the African Union’s (AU) Agenda 2063.
Rwanda is the first country in the world to have more than 50% female members of Parliament (at 64%) and the only African country in the top ten of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 2017 Global Gender Gap Index. In light of this information, it was fitting for AWM to host a Women’s Learning Expedition (WLE) in Kigali, Rwanda from 24 to 26 May 2018 at the Marriott Hotel where we will be exploring the topic ‘The Succession Plan Blueprint: More Women Advancing To Roles of Power’.
There are plenty of events and conferences going on in Kigali and all over Rwanda every week.
