This workshop looks at the emergence of curatorial practices
in Rwanda and invites museum and independent curators,
artists and museum professionals to reflect on
their own practices, the Rwandan contemporary artworld
and its resonance with the international artworld.
Participants willl examine FAVT exhibition’s concept as an
example to think around the possibility of exhibitions as
collective processes.
The workshop will result in a curatorial proposal drawn by
the participants, as a future curatorial model for curators
and artists-curators in Rwanda
The aim of the workshop is to share knowledge on contemporary
curatorial practices and discuss the potential
of curating in the Rwandan art scene.
